Maintenance and support for your automation systems
An automated system does not fail all at once: it drifts. Maintenance is there to spot that drift before it becomes a production stoppage.
Preventive maintenance
We put in place preventive maintenance programmes designed to identify and correct potential failures before they cause costly downtime: system health assessments, routine inspections, backup verification and performance optimisation.
Updates and modernisation
Outdated systems create inefficiencies and security risks. We handle software updates, firmware upgrades and hardware modernisation to ensure compliance, performance and compatibility with current technologies.
Troubleshooting and assistance
When a blocking fault occurs, we step in to diagnose its origin — controller logic, communication, instrumentation or supervision — and bring the installation back into service. Every intervention comes with a written report and, where relevant, a recommendation to prevent recurrence.
What a Lynthis support arrangement covers
- Backup and versioning of controller and supervision programs
- Periodic review of alarms and measurement points
- Obsolescence tracking and migration planning
- Documentation updated after every change
- Remote assistance and on-site intervention
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer maintenance agreements?
Yes, with a scope and response times agreed with you according to how critical the installation is. We adapt the arrangement to the equipment to be covered rather than imposing a single package.
Do you service installations you did not program?
Yes, that is a significant part of our work. We start with an assessment of the program and architecture, then document what exists before taking over maintenance.
What should we do with a controller the manufacturer no longer supports?
Two options: secure what exists by building a spare-parts stock and a complete program backup, or plan a migration to a current platform. We price both scenarios so the decision rests on figures.
